Calculation algorithm and logic for assigning status to subjects
8 March 2017
The calculation logic is given in the green insert in the report itself. As of version 1.34b, the following algorithm is used:
Subject classification based on the results of the sociometric experiment
| Status group | Number of votes received |
| "Stars" | Twice as many positive votes as the average number of positive votes received by one subject. "Preferred" - One and a half times as many positive votes as the average number of positive votes received by one subject. |
| "Accepted" | Not included in other groups |
| "Preferred" |
One and a half times more positive choices than the average number of positive choices received by one subject and three times fewer negative choices than the average number of negative choices in the group. C version 1.821b has been modified to take into account the "few negative" rule by checking for negative choices. |
| "Neglected" |
One and a half times fewer positive choices than the average number of positive choices received by one subject Subjects OR make one and a half times more negative choices than positive ones. Since version 1.768b, with "optimistic mode" enabled, subjects fall into this group only if there are negative choices. |
| "Rejected" |
Twice as many positive choices as the average number of positive choices received by a single subject in the presence of negative choices OR, there are negative choices but no positive ones. Since version 1.769b, with "optimistic mode" enabled, subjects fall into this group only if there are no positive choices and no negative ones. |
| "Isolated" | There are no positive or negative choices (no choices at all) |
